Which apps remove the location
- iPhone (Messages, Mail, AirDrop): Location is included by default. Before sending, tap Options at the top of the share sheet and switch Location off.
- Google Photos: Location is shared per album or link. Photos you download or share outside the app keep the camera's GPS.
- Telegram: Sending as a Photo removes it. Sending as a File keeps the original, location included.
- Discord: Removes these details from images.
- Instagram, Facebook (and Marketplace), WhatsApp chat photos: Viewers cannot see these details, according to Consumer Reports. Sending as a document, or in original quality, may keep them.
- Email attachments: Keep whatever the photo carries.
