Questions people ask

How do I check if a link is safe before I open it?

Paste it here. We read where it really goes, follow its redirects without opening it in your browser, check how old the website is and its certificate, and look it up in block lists where we can.

Can a link look like a real company's and still be fake?

Yes. Scammers swap letters (paypa1 for paypal), use letters from other alphabets that look the same, or put the company's name in front of their own domain. The check reads the domain the way a computer does.

What does "no known problems" mean?

That nothing we checked looked wrong. A brand-new scam can look clean for a few hours, so if a message pushes you to act fast, go to the company's website yourself instead.

Do you keep the links I check?

No. Nothing checked with the free tools is stored.
